Land & Water forms are basic geographic knowledge every child needs to know. Our photo and
definitions cards help children gain a complete understanding of each geographic form. First, use the
3-Part Photo Cards to present a clear visual definition of key land and water forms. Then, use the
Definition Cards to let children have fun while they read for meaning.
Choose Land & Water I for basic forms (island, lake, gulf, bay, peninsula, isthmus, cape, bay,
archipelago, system of lakes). Choose Land & Water II for advanced forms (mesa, canyon, volcano,

textual puzzle that children can manipulate as they build each definition. Each Definition Card packet includes
the following for each term: Control Card (3 2/3" x 4 1/3"); the Control Card cut into a Word Card (3 2/3" x 3/4") and
a Full Definition Card (3 2/3" x 3 3/8"); and the Control Card cut into a Word Card (3 2/3" x 3/4"), a First-half
Definition Card (3 2/3" x 1 1/4"), and a Second-half Definition Card (3 2/3" x 2 1/4"). Designed for children who
have mastered phonetic reading (ages 5+).
