Montessori Exhibitor Association
The Montessori Exhibitor Association (MEA) is a group of companies that sell materials designed for use in
Montessori classrooms. We have come together to facilitate the process of exhibiting at the many Montessori
conferences that happen throughout the US every year. Our intentions are positive: to improve exhibition logistics (see
suggestions at the bottom of this page); to improve the design of the exhibition space (our classroom); and, to
promote ethical standards in material making.

All of the exhibitors listed below regularly exhibit their wares at Montessori conferences. Below you will find a list of our
members; a link to organizations sponsoring upcoming conferences where many of us may be in attendance; and, a
list of logistical suggestions for conference coordinators.

Logistical Suggestions/Preferences
The following were developed with the goal of improving attendee access to the exhibitors and reducing the need for
help from the on-site contact person during the conference.

Registration Booth: Located as close as possible to the entrance of the Exhibit Hall, preferably right outside the door

Signs: Post signs indicating where the exhibit hall is. Include this information on maps or information sent to attendees.
Have an announcement board in the hall with updates for workshops, food, events, and exhibits.

Breaks: Attendees state that classes and shopping are important events at conferences. Shopping is "a hands on"
experience. 15 minute breaks between classes do not afford adequate shopping time, especially since sessions often
run over. Please plan one or two blocks of longer time periods for breaks.

Food and Beverage Service: Located in, in front of, or adjacent to the Exhibit Hall; please provide water in the exhibit hall

Workshops: Located close to or in the foot path of the exhibit hall

Exhibit Tables: Space tables so there is adequate aisle space for shoppers and space behind the booths for exhibitors
and their stock. 8' x 30' tables are preferred (if not available, please specify size as early as possible); Have table cloths
available to cover the tables and to cover our wares after hours.

Security: Please have the exhibit hall locked when it is closed.

Advance Information:
  • Hotel shipping address and earliest dates packages can arrive (send this information at least 6 weeks prior to
    the conference date)
  • Outbound shipping plan: upon completion of the conference, where can we store boxes until packages are
picked-up; who is the contact person at the hotel who will connect the shipper and the outgoing packages
  • Drayage company information as early as possible (when required)
  • Number of attendees expected (excluding exhibitors) (provide this information at least 2 weeks prior to the
    conference date)

On-Site Contact: Someone at the conference who can identify assigned tables during set-up and help resolve the
unexpected
