New Podcast: Teacher Mentoring Research
Julia was honored to join the Greenspring Center for Lifelong Learning's podcast on Teacher Mentoring Research. She joined host Tamara Balis and her research partner Dr. Ann Epstein to discuss early results from their mentoring research study. You can watch or listen to the full podcast at the Greenspring Center for Lifelong Learning's website.
Key early findings (they're still verifying the data) suggest that this evidence-based teacher mentoring program:
- Decreased teacher burnout
- Increased teacher self-efficacy
- Decreased teacher anxiety
The research used validated tools to measure many aspects of teacher experience in a longitudinal study that lasted from fall to spring last year. The team is still analyzing results and hopes to have a paper ready to submit for publication this fall. Stay tuned!
Please reach out to us or to the Greenspring Team if mentoring is something your school could benefit from. We're forming new cohorts for next year now!
