Phonetic Level 1 Set: Cardstock

This economical set includes 30 two or three letter phonetic words--all the same images as our standard Phonetic Reading Cards! The difference is how we make them; our economical cardstock cards are printed on heavyweight cardstock (not laminated) and cut into rectangular cards (the corners are not rounded).
The set includes several words for each short letter vowel sound (a, e, i, o, and u). In the photos you can see a few examples of the 30 completely phonetic words/images in Level 1 including words like:
- cat
- bed
- pin
- dog
- mug
These cards are an affordable option for home or occasional use.
We recommend organizing these cards into subsets of six words per group (lesson plan with suggested groupings included). Place one group at a time in a lovely cloth pouch, box, or tray (the lid from gift boxes works well for this). Change the groups every week or so to keep things interesting (follow your child's pace but allow for repetition with each group before swapping them out).
