Progess on our green building!

We are making progress on the addition to our new office space. The walls are up, the roof is on, and the siding is attached!

We love how the windows frame the gorgeous view of the field and wooded mountain behind our property.

The original building is made of reclaimed beams, strawbales and adobe for walls, and locally harvested lumber. We were able to save much of the original siding and reuse it.
The clay on the existing strawbale walls also needed a little attention. So, we found the original eco-friendly bio-shield paint for the patches. This paint is unique because it allows the straw beneath it to breathe. This maintains them and contributes to a great air quality in the room.

We used clay paint to touch up the adobe walls. The clay paint allows the strawbales to breathe and, thus, keeps the straw dry and maintains air quality.

We've also been scouring the eco-stores and salvaging all kinds of goodies like this lovely pedestal sink for the bathroom.

And some lovely reclaimed maple flooring. We also purchased new, durable, eco-friendly marmoleum for our main production room.
We can't wait to work in such a wonderful space! It really is a treasure of a building and location. Looking forward to sharing the next steps with you all soon. ☺️
