Parts of the Lobster 3-Part Reading

$6.50 USD

Children love to know the names of each part of the body, their own and the animals they see in the world around them. These cards are standard Montessori teaching materials (in the 3-6 and 6-12 classrooms) that present external anatomy in a powerful way: by isolating each key part in full color while the rest of the animal (the crustacean, a class of arthropods/invertebrates) is shown in muted shades of gray. This American lobster illustrates the main external anatomy features of crustaceans including the whole lobster and its cephalothorax, mouth parts, claws, antennae, eyes, legs, and abdomen (tail).
  • 3-part format includes photos, labels, and control cards (word and label put together)
  • Cards for the whole lobster and each of its key parts (see  photo for list); 30 cards total
  • Rounded corners (no pricked fingers or dog-eared cards)
  • Comes in a sturdy, clear reclosable bag for storage
  • Lesson plan included

These can be beautifully displayed in our 3-pocket cloth pouches (sold separately).

Laminated cards are ready for use. Unlaminated cards require lamination before use (see our laminating recommendations for details). Approximate card sizes are 3¾” x 4¼” (control cards), 3¾“ x 3” (photo cards), and 3¾” x 1¼” (word cards).

Created by a Montessori teacher and a zoologist. Eco-printed by parents/teachers/students in our rural New England office.
