"Parts of" the Lobster

3-Part Reading

$11.95 USD

Did you know that a lobster's "tail" is actually it's abdomen? Or that their head and torso are combined into one piece called the cephalothorax? Scan through these cards and discover each of the key parts of this crustacean's external anatomy. The photos include the featured part in full-color while the rest of the image fades into muted shades of gray. For the first time, it is really clear what we want them to focus on!
  • 3-part format includes photos, labels, and control cards (word and label put together)
  • Cards for the whole lobster and each of its key parts (see  photo for list); 30 cards total
  • Rounded corners (no pricked fingers or dog-eared cards)
  • Comes in a sturdy, clear reclosable bag for storage
  • Lesson plan included

Laminated cards are ready for use. See laminating recommendations if purchasing unlaminated cards. Created by a Montessori teacher and a zoologist. Eco-printed by parents/teachers/students in our rural New England office. Cloth pouches sold separately.
