Why do the kids get such a kick out of compound words? Because they are in the sensitive period for language! Give them what they need with compound words that follow the rules! Packet 4D takes them to the beach with 6 different compound words (like starfish and seagull) related to an ocean theme. All text is printed in black to add just enough challenge beyond Level 3 phonogram work. Each word includes only the pronunciation you expect from each letter and the phonograms presented in Level 3.
